RIO VISTA, CA – One Airlifted in 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 160 at Sherman Island Cross Road

RIO VISTA, CA (March 4, 2019) – At least one person was airlifted following a two-vehicle crash early Monday morning in Rio Vista.
 
The crash happened around 4:52 a.m. on Highway 160 at Sherman Island Cross Road. The vehicles involved were not described and details of how the crash occurred were not immediately available. When officers arrived on the scene, both vehicles were on the right shoulder.
 
Firefighters requested an air ambulance to transport at least one patient to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
It is unclear if drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. Officers are looking further into the incident to determine the ultimate cause and liability.
