RIO OSO, CA – One Killed in Rollover Crash at Pleasant Grove Road and Cornelius Avenue

Morning Rollover Crash on Pleasant Grove Road in Rio Oso Ends in Fatality

 
RIO OSO, CA (January 19, 2019) – At least one person was killed following a rollover crash Saturday morning in Rio Oso.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:37 a.m. on Pleasant Grove Road, about half a mile South of Cornelius Avenue.
 
According to an initial dispatch by the CHP, a pickup truck went about 5 to 10 feet off the right shoulder and overturned into a ditch. The vehicle became fully submerged in the water when officers arrived.
 
Details are sparse on what exactly transpired, but at least one fatality was found as a result of the accident. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
An investigation is still ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors.
