Rigo Villeda Vivar Fired after Deadly Crash on Canal Street [Houston, TX]

Fatality Reported in Houston Auto Accident on Canal Street

HOUSTON, TX (August 26, 2024) – Saturday afternoon, Rigo Villeda Vivar was fired after a deadly crash on Canal Street.

The incident occurred at about 1:30 p.m. on Canal Street near Original  Ninfa’s on Navigation.

According to a spokesperson for the Precinct 6 Constable’s Office, Vivar, a County Precinct 6 deputy constable was fired after being involved in an accident that led to the death of someone in the other vehicle.

Furthermore, the Houston Police Department handles the crash investigation. 

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
