Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Bowman Road in Ridgecrest

RIDGECREST, CA (November 24, 2018) – A motorcyclist was killed following a traffic collision late Saturday afternoon in Ridgecrest, CHP officials said.

The collision happened around 5:35 p.m. at the intersection of Bowman Road and Brown Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle and a pickup truck collided, causing possible three major injuries.

Kern County Fire Department officials responded to the scene and confirmed that the rider was killed in the accident. The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending next of kin notification.

Bowman Road was closed in both directions while crews worked on the scene.

Details are sparse on what exactly transpired to cause the collision. The incident remains under investigation.
