Motorcycle Rider Killed in Crash on 91 Freeway near Adams Street
RIVERSIDE, CA (November 1, 2019) – A rider was killed in a motorcycle crash on 91 Freeway, early Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 5:10 PM. Due to unknown reasons, a Yamaha motorcycle slammed into the rear of a Ford Explorer near Adams Street. Then, the impact of the collision ejected the rider from the motorcycle.
Emergency responders pronounced the rider dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford Explorer remained and cooperated with investigators.
The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
