Rider Injured in State Route 542 Collision [Deming, WA]

Deming, WA (August 22, 2024) – A motorcycle rider was injured in a State Route 542 collision Saturday afternoon.

It was about 3:50 p.m. when the collision happened in the 6600 block area near milepost 24.

Troopers said an orange 2024 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was westbound on the highway while a 2015-2021 white Nissan Murano crossed the centerline and struck the motorcycle. 

The motorcycle rested on the eastbound shoulder while the Nissan Murano fled the scene eastbound.

WSP detectives are looking for the Nissan. They said it will have passenger side damage near the front wheel and possibly damage to the passenger side mirror.
