Officers Arrest Driver Suspect in Collision Near 43rd Street
National City, CA (February 22, 2023) – On Monday, a motorcycle rider sustained injuries following a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 5.
The traffic accident happened at about 11:14 p.m. on the southbound freeway near 43rd Street, involving a white Nissan Sentra and a motorcycle.
Witnesses said the car driver struck the bike but never stopped. As a result, the rider was ejected onto the middle lanes while the bike was thrown about 100 feet away.
Luckily, an ambulance that happened to drive by the scene transported the victim to the hospital.
A witness was able to provide the authorities with the license plate of the car involved in the collision near 43rd Street.
