Rider Dies in Sossaman Road Motorcycle Collision [Mesa, AZ]

Mesa, AZ (February 18, 2023) – On Friday afternoon, a rider sustained fatal injuries in a Sossaman Road motorcycle collision.

The fatal traffic incident happened at the intersection with Ray Road near Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. 

According to Mesa police, a truck turned left onto southbound Sossaman Road from Ray Road, in front of an eastbound motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider was ejected from the bike and sustained a severe head injury. The rider died at the crash scene.

Officers said the victim was not wearing a helmet.

Moreover, the truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officers’ investigation.
