Pedestrian Ricky Ricardo Tappin Dies in Union Avenue Crash in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, CA (September 8, 2020)– Monday evening, 67-year-old Ricky Ricardo Tappin was struck and killed in a crash on Union Avenue.
The incident happened at around 7:48 p.m. on September 7.
Police said a woman lost control of her vehicle and hit Mr. Tappin, then crashed into a building.
The man was on the center divider of the road in the 500 block of Union Avenue at the time of the collision. He died at the scene.
Moreover, police said no signs indicated that the woman drove impaired. However, speed is being investigated as a potential factor in this fatal Bakersfield pedestrian accident.
