Rickey Morrison Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Parkway Drive [Lubbock, TX]

Lubbock, TX (June 6, 2023) On Sunday evening, 60-year-old Rickey Morrison was killed in a pedestrian accident on Parkway Drive.

According to the Lubbock Police Department (LPD), the fatal auto-pedestrian crash happened at the intersection with Redbud Avenue.

Reports say that 20-year-old Jessie Howle, was in a westbound vehicle on the right lane when his vehicle struck Morrison, who was walking north on the 1800 block of Parkway Drive.

Officials say that rescuers rushed Morrison to University Medical Center, however, Morrison succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.

Authorities are investigating the fatal auto-pedestrian crash and have not released further information at this time.
