Los Molinos Woman Killed in Highway 36 Accident

Tehama County, CA (June 12, 2022) – On June 2, Rick Lizotte, 62 of Los Molinos, sustained injuries in a Highway 36 fatal crash.

It was about 4:38 p.m. when the fatal accident took place west of Mineral.

According to the CHP, a white Lincoln MKZ was westbound on the freeway. The driver, Rick Lizotte, failed to negotiate a curve and struck a large tree.

The paramedics airlifted Rick Lizotte of Los Molinos to Mercy Medical Center with major injuries.  

Unfortunately, his 60-year-old female passenger, a Los Molinos woman, died at the scene. The authorities withheld the deceased’s identity pending notification of kin.

In the meantime, officers are investigating the HWY 36 vehicle collision.
