Morning Collision Between 3 Cars on 80 Freeway in Richmond Leaves Two People Injured
RICHMOND, CA (December 20, 2018) – Two people were injured following a three-car crash Thursday morning on 80 Freeway at Cutting Boulevard.
The crash happened around 8:40 a.m. involving a brown Nissan Pathfinder, a black Honda CRV, and a Chrysler Town & Country.
When officers arrived, both cars were blocking the first, second, and third lanes of the freeway. An elderly occupant in the Nissan SUV sustained a facial injury, and another patient was bleeding from the head.
An ambulance unit was dispatched to the scene and took the patients to a hospital in unknown conditions.
All three cars were towed away from the crash site.
Three freeway lanes were shut down during the rescue and clearing operations.
The incident is still on active investigation while the authorities are putting the pieces together.
