Hollister Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Gilroy
GILROY, CA (June 26, 2019) – A man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck Wednesday morning.
The fatal crash happened around 5:35 a.m., at Bolsa and Shore roads. Dispatchers arrived shortly after.
According to reports, a Honda CBR600 was traveling north on Bolsa, approaching Shore Road. The rider then pulled into the right-turn lane to pass traffic that was stopped at the time.
As the rider continued through the intersection, he struck a Ford F-150 that was making a left turn from southbound Bolsa Road onto Shore Road. The rider was ejected from the bike as a result of the impact.
Arriving units pronounced him dead at the scene due to the extent of his injuries. He was later identified as Richardpeter Holguin, 37, of Hollister.
The pickup’s driver, a 35-year-old Watsonville man, remained injured.
No additional information was provided at this time. Investigation of this crash still ongoing.
