Richard Walker Killed in FM 707 Collision [Abilene, TX]

Abilene, TX (December 9, 2023) – 55-year-old Richard Walker was killed following an FM 707 collision Friday afternoon.

The fatal collision unfolded before 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of CR 314 southwest of Abilene.

Investigators said Walker was southbound on FM 707 when he was struck head-on by a vehicle attempting to turn onto CR 314 without yielding.

Walker was declared deceased at the hospital while a passenger in his vehicle incurred serious injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the collision.

Officers are investigating.
