CUSICK, WA (August 15, 2018) – Three people died early Wednesday morning and two others were hospitalized following a single-car crash near Cee Cee Ah Creek Road.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the deadly accident took place shortly before 6:30 AM. A 2006 Kia Spectra, driven by 33-year-old Aaron Pierre, drove off a cliff on LeClerc Road North. Events that led to the crash were not immediately released.
Three passengers inside the vehicle – 29-year-old Richard Torosian, 32-year-old Kayleen Sherwood, and 29-year-old O’Shan Nick – were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Meanwhile, a fourth passenger, 22-year-old Anthony Shirahama, was transported to the Newport Hospital with unspecified injuries. Pierre also sustained injuries and was taken to the Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.
Authorities believe that alcohol was involved in the crash. However, Shirahama claimed that everyone in the vehicle was sober. He also added that driver’s miscalculated turn was the cause of the accident. An investigation is underway to verify these claims and to identify possible contributing factors.
