Arleta, CA (December 9, 2022) – On Wednesday, Richard Mendez, 29, of Arleta, was fatally struck on Terra Bella Street.

It was about 10:20 p.m. when the deadly accident took place west of Canterbury Avenue.

According to the investigating officers, a westbound Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan was running at a high rate of speed and struck Mendez while he was crossing Terra Bella Street.

Unfortunately, Richard Mendez died at the accident scene.
