2 Hospitalized after Kelseyville Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 29

 
KELSEYVILLE, CA (March 24, 2020) – A multi-vehicle accident on Monday injured two people on Highway 129 in Kelseyville.
 
The March 23 collision between three vehicles occurred just before 7:00 p.m. on Highway 29 at Merritt Road, revealed the California Highway Patrol’s Clear Lake Area office.
 
According to CHP Officer Joel Skeen, Richard Hessing of Kelseyville in a 2005 Hyundai first travelled south on Highway 29.
 
Skeen added that Hessing was driving at a speed that was unsafe for conditions. He also noted that there was hail on the road.
 
Meanwhile, Tea Muller from Cloverdale headed north on Highway 29 in a 2014 Hyundai.
 
At the same time, Lorelei Morris from Bolinas in a 2017 Toyota was also driving in the same path as Muller.
 
Skeen reported that Hessing then possibly lost control of his car and veered into the path of the two other drivers.
 
The impact of the crash led to several injuries. Richard Hessing sustained major injuries. Meanwhile, Lorelei Morris suffered minor injuries. Tea Muller, on the other hand, didn’t suffer any injuries.
 
Responders transported both Hessing and Morris to Sutter Lakeside Hospital to receive treatment for their injuries.
 
The authorities also ruled out alcohol as a factor in the collision.
 
Moreover, the collision resulted in the complete shutdown of Highway 29 for one hour while the crews took the patients to the hospital. The Caltrans and tow truck drivers took charge of clearing the roadway.
