58-Year-Old Richard Heeschen Lost His Life on 5 Freeway Big Rig Crash
Castaic, CA (January 06, 2021) – On Monday, 58-Year-Old Richard Heeschen died in a deadly big rig crash on the 5 Freeway.
The fatal accident took place at about 12 p.m. north of Templin Highway.
Apparently, the big rig went off the side of the freeway. It landed at about 50 feet down an embankment.
The authorities pronounced Heeschen dead on the scene. No details of his residency were provided.
Officers closed the northbound lanes 3 and 4 while they investigated the incident.
Meanwhile, a CHP officer was airlifted to a hospital with unspecified injuries. It was not clearly identified how he was injured.
