Richard Debose Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Hollywood Intersection
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 21, 2019) — A hit-and-run crash in Hollywood killed a pedestrian, identified as Richard Debose, early Friday.
The Los Angeles police said a caller reported the incident at about 3:00 a.m. near the intersection of Highland Avenue and Willoughby Avenue.
Based on their investigation, the hit-and-run vehicle was northbound on Highland Avenue when it hit Debose. He was walking westward from the southeast corner of the intersection at the time.
Debose died at the scene. On the other hand, the driver fled after the collision.
Meantime, the investigation is ongoing. The police described the suspect vehicle as a white, late-model Mercedes C300 or a similar vehicle. They said there is a reward of up to $50,000 for anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest conviction of the hit-and-run driver.
