Fatal Central Fresno Motorcycle Accident on Ashlan Avenue Leaves Ricardo Simpson Dead
FRESNO, CA (January 27, 2021) – Tuesday night, motorcyclist Ricardo Simpson, 34, died in a crash on East Ashlan Avenue near Cedar Avenue.
The fatal crash occurred at about 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of East Ashlan Avenue and Cedar Avenue.
According to Fresno police Lt. Jordan Beckford, a man rode his motorcycle west on Ashlan Avenue.
Meanwhile, a truck turned north toward a nearby shopping center and hit him. Beckford noted that the driver failed to notice the rider.
As a result, responders transported the motorcyclist to Community Regional Medical Center. Unfortunately, the Fresno man later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the truck driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative.
The police added that Ashlan Avenue remained close for the next two hours.
