Ricardo Cendejas of San Jose Fatally Struck on South First Street, Amber Chavez Arrested
San Jose, CA (April 27, 2021) – On April 8, 33-year-old Ricardo Cendejas of San Jose was struck by a vehicle driven by Amber Chavez, also of San Jose, on South First Street.
Moreover, the fatal crash took place at approximately 4:57 p.m. at the 1100 block area.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Cendejas suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Right away, emergency responders took him to a hospital, where he died on April 16.
Officers said the suspect was connected to a carjacking and allegedly used the vehicle as a weapon to intentionally attack the victim. However, the authorities did not release any information about a motive in this incident.
Moreover, on April 20, police arrested Amber Chavez on suspicion of homicide, carjacking, and assault with a deadly weapon.
