Truck Driver Ricardo Camara Killed after Collision with Union Pacific Train near Salt Lake Avenue

 
HACIENDA HEIGHTS, CA (June 9, 2019) – The authorities confirmed that one man was killed in a crash on Turnbull Canyon Road, Sunday afternoon.
 
The victim was identified as Ricardo Camara, 57, from Corona.
 
According to reports, the collision took place around 12:30 PM, near the intersection of Salt Lake Avenue.
 
Based on an initial report, the victim’s pickup truck collided with a Union Pacific train near the border of Hacienda Heights and Industry. The truck had driven through a fence and onto the tracks. After that, the train crashed into the truck.
 
Union Pacific said there were no injuries to the train crew.
 
It is unknown if drugs and alcohol were factors in the crash. Officials ordered a clean-up at the scene and began their investigation. However, police did not release any other information to the public.
