Albert Phillips Dies in Hit-And-Run Crash on Mill Avenue in Tempe
Tempe, AZ (December 13, 2021) – Friday morning, Sgt. Albert Phillips, a retired ASU, died in a hit-and-run crash on Mill Avenue and Forest Avenue.
The fatal hit-and-run crash happened at around 7:40 a.m. on December 10.
Tempe Police said Phillips, a pedestrian, was found with critical injuries and taken to a nearby hospital but later died.
The driver that hit Phillips drove off before officers arrived. However, there is no suspect vehicle description at this time.
Phillip’s family has set up a GoFundMe to pay for funeral expenses.
The investigation into this fatal hit and run is ongoing.
