Kermit, TX (September 28, 2024) – Emergency rescuers have responded to an E Jim Sharp Boulevard collision Thursday.
The five-vehicle crash happened in the 100-block area.
Luckily, no major injuries have been reported. However, the collision resulted in damage to powerlines that caused power outages in parts of Kermit.
The authorities asked the public to avoid the area during the investigation of the Kermit multi-vehicle crash.
Approximately one-third of all motor vehicle fatalities have been caused by speeding over the past two decades. Speeding contributed to 29% of all traffic deaths in 2022.
Even when you are driving at the speed limit, driving too fast for road conditions, such as during bad weather, in areas that are not well-lit at night, or on the road under repair, can affect your safety.
Speeding endangers not only the driver but all the people on the road around them. It is a problem we all need to solve.
