2 Injured in Fatal Vehicle Crash in Houston
Houston, TX (June 21, 2024) – 3-year-old Reginae Richardson was killed in a Cowart Street vehicle crash Tuesday night.
The crash occurred past 8:30 p.m. in the 8500 block area.
Officials said the driver of a white Kia Soul was southbound in the 1400 block of Silverdale Street. The driver failed to maintain a single lane and struck a wooden utility pole on the northbound side of the sidewalk at Cowart Street.
The vehicle then rolled and landed on the passenger side.
Reginae Richardson was thrown from the front passenger windows. She was rushed to a hospital but later died.
Moreover, the driver and another 8-year-old girl climbed out of the driver’s side window.
Along with Reginae Richardson, they were also taken to the hospital.
Investigating officers said they did not see any signs of intoxication on the driver, but, no child seats were present in the vehicle.
Troopers are still investigating this fatal crash.
