Major Injuries Sustained in Head-On Collision near Avenue 424

 
REEDLEY, CA (April 10, 2019) – One person was seriously injured following a head-on collision on Road 52 Wednesday afternoon, near Avenue 424.
 
To begin, the crash happened around 4:19 p.m., on Road 52. Dispatchers arrived just South of Avenue 424 soon after.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a black and gray vehicle collided head-on for unknown reasons. Several other vehicles also stopped to assist following the collision.
 
Law enforcement arrived on the scene and found one of the vehicles smoking as a result of the impact. One victim was lying down on the ground with serious head injuries.
 
The unidentified patient was taken by paramedics to a nearby hospital. The victim’s current condition has not yet been updated.
 
Both vehicles were towed away from the crash site due to the impact. Furthermore, the surrounding roadway was blocked off for a brief time while crews worked to clean the wreckage.
 
There were no official reports stating what caused the crash or how it exactly transpired. Authorities are looking further into the accident to determine the ultimate cause and liability.
