Reckless Driving Leads to Major Crash on 80 Freeway [Fairfield, CA]

One Hospitalized after Collision near Red Top Road

FAIRFIELD, CA (September 11, 2018) – A reckless driving incident on Tuesday morning led to a major crash on 80 Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 7:54 AM, just east of Red Top Road. A BMW 3 Series was reportedly driving recklessly before it overturned and landed on the right shoulder. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

Responding medics transported one motorist to the Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center for treatment of major injuries. The victim’s name and condition were not immediately released.

An investigation is being conducted to determine the cause and circumstances of the accident. No further details have been disclosed to the public at this time.
