1 Person Hospitalized in Albuquerque Auto Accident on Interstate 25 and Comanche Road
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (October 30, 2024) – Sunday morning, authorities arrested Rebecca Melchor after a crippling DWI crash on Interstate 25.
The incident happened at around 2:26 a.m. on Interstate 25 and Comanche Road.
According to reports, a vehicle struck a AFR firefighter Lieutenant who was returning to the AFR Rescue unit while at the scene of an earlier accident.
Moreover, an Albuquerque Ambulance rushed the firefighter to a hospital in serious but stable condition.
Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the driver of the vehicle, identified as 24-year-old Melchor, admits that she drank a half a bottle of wine before the incident.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
