Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car on Pacific Highway East in Milton
MILTON, WA (January 3, 2020) – A woman was killed after being struck by a car Friday afternoon in Milton, authorities said.
The fatal incident happened just before 5:00 p.m. in the 7900 block of Pacific Highway East.
According to police, a female pedestrian was crossing Pacific Highway East when a vehicle hit her. She was not believed to be in a crosswalk when she was struck in the northbound lanes. The closest crosswalk to the scene is at Porter Way.
The victim, identified as 56-year-old Rebecca Fujii, died at the scene.
The driver remained on scene and showed no signs of impairment, police said.
A stretch of Pacific Highway East at Porter Way was shut down while police investigated the incident.
