Six Pedestrians Struck Walking along First Street in King City Leaving One Dead and Two Injured
KING CITY, CA (February 3, 2018) – A farm labor vehicle struck a group of pedestrians walking along First Street in King City, killing a Greenfield woman and injuring two others, on Saturday afternoon around 1:19 PM.
The deceased pedestrian was identified as Rebecca Evangelista. According to the King City Police, the vehicle carrying a trailer was driving south in the 600 block of S. First Street when it hit the six pedestrians.
The victims included two adult women and four children. 63-year-old Evangelista suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Another unidentified woman was taken to the hospital to receive treatment for non-life threatening injuries. One child was slightly injured and released at the scene, while the other three children were not hurt in the accident.
Police stated that the preliminary investigation found that alcohol or drugs were not involved in the accident. No other details have been disclosed at this time.
