52-year-old Rebecca Breeding Dies After Crash on East Speedway in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (October 21, 2024) – 52-year-old Rebecca Breeding died in a hit-and-run crash on East Speedway.

Reportedly, a vehicle struck and killed a woman crossing against the light on East Speedway Friday night then fled the scene. 

Tucson Police reported that Breeding was walking in a marked crosswalk at Speedway and North Main Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. when a westbound vehicle hit her. 

She was transported to Banner University Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries. 

Detectives determined that Breeding was crossing against the red light when the vehicle struck her. 

The investigation is ongoing as police search for the suspect vehicle.
