1 Injured in Accident on Highway 99 Near Hamilton Nord Cana Highway
Chico, CA (January 15, 2021) – A two-vehicle crash on Highway 99 left two people injured on Thursday morning.
The incident happened on January 14 at around 11 a.m. on Highway 99 near Hamilton Nord Cana Highway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle rear-ended another vehicle that caused the incident.
Due to the extent of the collision, one passenger from the rear-ended vehicle suffered a broken bone. Medical personnel transported that passenger to Enloe Medical Center for treatment.
Furthermore, medics also transported the driver of another vehicle to the hospital for sustaining minor injuries.
The initial investigation showed that speed might have been a factor in the collision. However, the investigation remains on-going.
Moreover, officials were able to clear the scene immediately.
