Two-Vehicle Crash on 101 Near San Ysidro Road Shut Down Lanes

Santa Barbara, CA (July 25, 2021) – On Friday night, a two-vehicle crash on 101 involving trucks sent one person to a hospital. 

The incident took place on July 23 on 101 at San Ysidro Road at about 10:04 p.m.

According to a report, the collision involved at least two vehicles. A quick response truck collided into the back part of a tractor-trailer. As a result, the impact of the collision left severe damage to the cab of the smaller truck. 

Furthermore, medics extracted one of the drivers to the truck and transported them to a hospital. However, there has been no update regarding the patient’s current condition. 

Moreover, the extent of the collision prompted the closure of both southbound lanes for 30 minutes.
