Tragic Rear-End Collision on Camino del Norte Kills 65-Year-Old Man [Poway, CA]

Sherriff Investigates Deadly SUV Crash near World Trade Drive

Poway, CA (November 02, 2023) On Monday afternoon, a rear-end collision on Camino del Norte left a 65-year-old man on an electric tricycle dead.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Poway Station, the tragic crash happened around 5 p.m. near World Trade Drive near the boundary with Rancho Bernardo and Carmel Mountain Ranch.

Reports say that a westbound Mercedes-Benz SUV, driven by a 47-year-old woman hit the electric vehicle from behind.

Medics rushed the male driver to the hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.

Meanwhile, officials say that alcohol did not play a factor in the collision, however, they are looking for possible witnesses to te incident.

Authorities are investigating the deadly SUV crash.
