Pedestrian Killed in Car Accident on Highway 273 near Buenaventura Boulevard Identified As Razy Lynn Tufnell
Redding, CA (May 21, 2020)– A pedestrian accident on Highway 273 near Buenaventura Boulevard killed Razy Lynn Tufnell on Monday night.
The Shasta County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Razy Lynn Tufnell, 46, of Chico.
Initial reports said that on May 18 at about 10 p.m., an oncoming vehicle northbound on Highway 273 hit the woman.
According to the police, Tufnell suddenly ran across the road. The driver, unable to swerve the car away, fatally struck the woman.
Officials later notified Tufnell’s next-of-kin. In addition, a post-mortem examination awaits for the now-deceased victim.
In addition, police revealed the driver as Gessica Leuscher, 25 of Redding.
Moreover, the surrounding area of Highway 273 was closed off for a brief time. Meanwhile, Redding Police Department continues to investigate the fatal crash.
