Daisy Ojeda Hospitalized and Raymond Wallace Dead in Modesto Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99
SALIDA, CA (April 4, 2021) – Saturday, pedestrian Raymond Wallace, 60, died and Daisy Ojeda, 23, was injured in a crash on Highway 99.
The California Highway Patrol received a report of the crash at about 2:30 a.m.
It happened on the Highway 99 offramp, near Broadway Avenue in Modesto.
According to reports, Wallace, of Grover Beach, died after walking in front of a vehicle near the offramp.
Thus, authorities requested a coroner to the scene.
Later, authorities revealed Modesto resident Daisy Ojeda’s Jeep Grand Cherokee struck Wallace.
Following the initial crash, Wallace was again hit by two more vehicles, a 2021 Freightliner and a 2006 Toyota.
Consequently, Raymond Wallace died at the scene, and paramedics took Ms. Ojeda to a hospital.
