Man Dies after Slamming Back of Semi Truck on Highway 132 at Hazeldean Road
WATERFORD, CA (December 14, 2019) – A man was killed following a rear-end crash Sunday evening near Modesto Reservoir.
The crash happened around 9:11 p.m. on Highway 132 at Hazeldean Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota was traveling westbound on the highway. For unknown reasons, it failed to slow down for the semi truck in front and rear-ended it.
As a result, the Toyota driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. Authorities identified the deceased as Raymond Scott, 34, of Waterford.
The driver of the semi truck was not injured.
It was unknown whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
