2 Injured and 1 Dead in Phoenix Car Crash
PHOENIX, AZ (October 8, 2019) – Tuesday night, 6-year-old Rayden Ginsburg died in a pedestrian accident on 75th Avenue.
Officials reported the crash occurred around 8:00 PM on 75th Avenue near Thomas Road.
Authorities identified the vehicle involved as a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 23-year-old man. Per reports, the truck traveled south on 75th Avenue and entered the intersection as the light turned red. As a result, he struck three pedestrians walking eastbound in the south crosswalk.
Medics arrived immediately after and transported all three victims to a nearby hospital. The 21-year-old man was in critical condition and the 28-year-old woman sustained serious injuries. However, Rayden whom they were babysitting succumbed to his injuries and died as a result of the crash.
In addition, the truck driver remained at the scene. Officers do not believe drugs and alcohol were contributing factors. Police did not release any other information at this time as the investigation continues.
