2 People Hospitalized in Modesto Auto Accident on Highway 132 and McCracken Road
MODESTO, CA (August 20, 2023) – Monday afternoon, authorities arrested Raul Salamaca after a crippling police chase crash on Highway 132.
The incident happened on Highway 132 and McCracken Road.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Tom Olsen, authorities attempted to pull over the suspect vehicle but it took off at a high rate of speed. Then, the suspect vehicle, a Toyota, collided with an eastbound Ford pickup about a mile and a half south of the intersection of Highway 132 and McCracken Road.
Moreover, responders transported the Ford driver, a 48-year-old Modesto man, to Memorial Medical Center, with a laceration to his face. Then, officers arrested and transported the Toyota driver, 41-year-old Salamaca, to Doctors Medical Center, with unknown injuries.
At this time, the circumstances involved in the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
