Patricia Mcardel, Bryce Setran, Bouche Outley, Raul Ornelas, and Stanislav Churbari Involved in Accident on I-90
CLE ELUM, WA (April 13, 2018) – Two people were injured in a five-car collision on Interstate 90, 23 miles east of Cle Elum, late Friday morning.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident involved two cars and three semi-trucks, and happened around 11:50 AM.
41-year-old Stanislav Churbari of University Place was traveling eastbound on the highway in a green 1998 Freightliner semi-truck, when he failed to stop and struck a grey 1999 Lexus, driven by 58-year-old Patricia Mcardel of Seattle. The Lexus was then pushed into a black 2010 Ford van, driven by 36-year-old Bryce Setran of Mountlake Terrace.
All three vehicles came to a stop in the left lane of the freeway, blocking the road. A maroon 2009 Freightliner, driven by 47-year-old Bouche Outley of Lennow, did not see the pile-up soon enough and crashed into Churbari’s truck. Finally, a red 2012 Peterbilt, driven by 50-year-old Raul Ornelas of Yakima, struck Outley’s car.
Ornelas sustained injuries and was treated at the scene, while Churbari was taken to the Kittitas Valley Healthcare in Ellensburg for further treatment and evaluation. No other injuries were reported in this collision.
Police officials and emergency responders arrived at the scene of the accident and partially blocked the roadway for almost five hours. Troopers stated that the cause of the collision was that Churcari was following too closely. No other information has been disclosed at this time.
