Two-Vehicle Accident on Vanalden Avenue Kills Raul Gutierrez, Driver at Large
Los Angeles, CA (June 1, 2020)– A hit-and-run collision on Vanalden Avenue killed a vehicle occupant Raul Gutierrez on Saturday morning.
The incident happened on May 30, at around 8:50 a.m. when a vehicle headed westbound on Roscoe Boulevard.
LAPD’s Media Relations Section Officer Rosario Cervantes said the vehicle then crashed with another on Vanalden Avenue.
Around 8:49 a.m., paramedics arrived at the scene.
As a result of the crash, Raul Gutierrez, a 59-year-old Northridge man, was pronounced dead immediately according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said that no one was transported to the local hospital.
Furthermore, the driver in the westbound vehicle fled the scene on foot, Cervantes said. Currently, police have no description regarding the suspect or the vehicle.
