Man Dead and Two Others Injured in Truck Accident at Theodore Street
MORENO VALLEY, CA (September 4, 2018) – A man was killed Tuesday evening following a solo-vehicle crash on the 60 Freeway at Theodore Street. The victim was later identified by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner as 33-year-old Hemet resident, Rasheed Poon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 8:17 PM. Poon and two other people were in a westbound construction truck when it crashed.
Poon sustained fatal injuries, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. Meanwhile, the other two occupants were rushed to a local hospital with moderate injuries. Their identities and conditions were not immediately released.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the fatal crash and to identify possible contributing factors. No additional information has been disclosed to the public at this time.
