Randy McLean of Kelso Dies, Jason Anderson Injured in Cowlitz County Crash
Cowlitz County, WA (May 19, 2021) – On Tuesday, 64-year-old Randy McLean of Kelso died, while 45-year-old Jason Anderson of Longview was injured in a DUI crash on State Route 4.
The fatal accident happened at around 5:49 p.m. at milepost 52, west of Longview.
Officers said McLean was driving his vehicle eastbound on the freeway when he crossed the centerline and struck a westbound vehicle.
Unfortunately, McLean died at the accident scene.
Anderson, the other vehicle’s driver was injured in the accident. Rescuers transported him to St. John’s Medical Center. There is no update on his condition.
Meanwhile, the authorities said both men were the sole occupants of their vehicles. They also said that they were both wearing their seatbelts during the accident.
Officers said drugs or alcohol were involved in the fatal incident.
