Phoenix, AZ (June 2, 2023) – Early Friday morning, 55-year-old Randy Long died in a crash on Baseline Road.

The fatal auto-pedestrian crash on Baseline Road in Phoenix happened around 4:30 a.m. on June 2.

Phoenix Police said Long was crossing Baseline Road mid-block near 52nd Avenue around 4:30 a.m. when he was struck.

EMS took Long to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with detectives.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and investigators have not yet indicated whether speed or intoxication were potential contributing factors.
