Randy Estrada Dies in Hit-And-Run Crash at W Shields Fresno

 
Fresno, CA (July 04, 2020)– A 60-year-old Fresno man, identified as Randy Estrada , died in a hit-and-run crash at W Shields and N Howard on Thursday evening.
 
According to reports, Estrada was traveling east on Shields when he was struck by a 2001 silver Toyota Corolla heading south on Howard and failed to stop at a sign. Estrada was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected out of the car, and died on the spot.
 
Even so, the Toyota driver immediately fled the scene. Police described that the Corolla sustained significant damage on the front.
 
CHP continues the investigation and is asking anyone with information about the vehicle or the driver to call the Fresno Area CHP at (559) 262-0400.
