RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (April 30, 2019) – Five people were seriously injured following a major head-on crash early Tuesday morning in Rancho Cucamonga.
The crash happened just before 3:00 a.m. on eastbound 210 Freeway near 15 Freeway.
According to an initial report, a car going the wrong way allegedly drove head-on into a white pickup truck, causing major damages to the front driver side of the pickup.
Two people in the wrong-way vehicle were physically extracted from their totally destroyed car. Rancho Cucamonga firemen cut their way into the decimated car in order to pull out the first individual trapped in the vehicle. That person was put on a stretcher and wheeled to an ambulance.

Three occupants in the pickup truck, including one child, were also rushed to a hospital with serious injures.
It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
