Ramon Zaragosa Hurt in Napa 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 29
NAPA, CA (October 22, 2019) — A 41-year-old man sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 29 near Highway 221 Sunday morning.
The crash involved a 1998 Chevy Blazer and a 2000 VW Beetle. It happened at around 4:15 a.m. as per the authorities.
An investigation showed that 78-year-old Michael Hevey of Rio Linda ran a red light on northbound Highway 29 in his Chevy. Hevey’s vehicle then collided with a Beetle driven by 41-year-old Ramon Zaragoza. At the time, Zaragoza was making a left turn onto Highway 29 from Highway 221.
Emergency personnel took Zaragosa to Queen of the Valley Medical Center with major injuries. On the other hand, Hevey was uninjured.
The California Highway Patrol ruled out alcohol and drugs as possible causes of the collision.
