Cynthia Ann Fisher Killed in Racing Crash on Williams Drive in Scottsdale
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (August 3, 2019) – Two men were arrested after a deadly racing crash earlier this month.
The crash happened on the afternoon of August 3 at the intersection of Williams Drive and Miller Road.
According to police, the two suspects were racing prior to the crash. A 59-year-old Robert J. Foster was driving a Lamborghini in excess of 100 mph. At the same time, a 22-year-old Ramon Angel Carrasco was driving a BMW at high speeds.
The victim, 68-year-old Cynthia Ann Fisher, was driving by herself southbound on Miller Road. She was about to make a left turn on Williams Drive, when one of the racing vehicles crashed into her car.
Paramedics rushed Fisher to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Carrasco and his female passenger had minor injuries and received treatment at a local hospital. He was arrested a short time later on charges of second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
This week, police have arrested the other suspect. Foster is also now being held in custody.
Investigation of this fatal crash is underway.
