Ramiro Angulo and Erin Garybroaster Killed after Victorville Traffic Collision
VICTORVILLE, CA (May 20, 2019) — Two drivers suffered fatal injuries after a traffic accident in Victorville on Saturday, May 18.
At about 6:46 a.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash near the intersection of Highway 395 and Luna Road. They discovered a 2018 blue Honda Civic with major front-end damage. They also found a 2007 Mercedes Benz with extensive damage to the driver-side door.
The driver of a blue Honda, Ramiro Angulo, 28, of Victorville, died at the scene at 7:08 a.m.
The driver of the silver 2007 Mercedes, Erin Garybroaster, 27, of Victorville, succumbed to her injuries at 7:12 a.m., according to the coroner’s website.
Deputies conducted an investigation and found out that Angulo traveled southbound on 395 Highway. Garybroaster drove eastbound on Luna Road, then Angulo entered the intersection on a red light broadsiding the Mercedes.
An eyewitness told a local news source that Angulo fled the scene of a fender-bender on Palmdale Road and Highway 395 shortly before the deadly crash.
A Mercy Air helicopter airlifted a female passenger in the Mercedes to a hospital for treatment.
MAIT Investigators are still continuing the investigation into the incident.
