1 Dead and 1 Injured in Crash near Marble Street Southwest
ROCHESTER, WA (November 3, 2018) – A man was killed Saturday evening following a motorcycle accident on 188th Avenue Southwest. The deceased victim was later identified by the Thurston Coroner’s Office as 63-year-old Ralph Hoyle of Centralia.
The fatal incident happened at about 7:45 PM near Marble St. An 83-year-old man was driving his car when he swerved to avoid Hoyle’s motorcycle, and wound up off the road near trees. He was considered to be in stable condition.
Hoyle was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders, and his female passenger was seriously injured. According to the Sheriff’s office, the woman was later airlifted to the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she was listed in critical condition.
Events leading up to the fatal collision are unclear at this time. No additional information has been disclosed to the public, as the investigation continues.
